Since the inception of librarymedia.net in 1999, Tenafly High School students interested in web design, user experience (UX) design, coding, media production, and television broadcast have participated in the development of this website (our digital product) resulting in tens of thousands of visits per year. This is a rapidly growing field and www.Librarymedia.net serves as a living learning tool giving students access to real, practical, experience along with using their creativity. Due to student participation, along with their ideas and innovations, librarymedia.net was one of the first school websites to embed live and on-demand video on its pages, provide an automated visual schedule, and serve as a learning platform where students at once contribute to their own learning and benefit their school. This site gives students the opportunity to think about meeting the needs of those using this digital product and applying aesthetic solutions to enhance it. Many of these students have gone on to work in the media industry and others have greatly benefitted in other professions. Since 1999 this website has been our library's exterior portal and its URL "www.librarymedia.net" is printed above both the East and West entrance under our facility's name; "Lalor Library Media Center". | Video postings by Dan Rispoli with students | Site maintained by David Di Gregorio with students.
